The MultiPlus is a compact enclosure that houses a powerful true sine wave inverter, a sophisticated battery charger with adaptive charge technology, and a high-speed AC transfer switch. Victron MultiPlus PMP243021102 has two AC outputs, one of which is a no-break output.
In the event of a grid failure or when shore-/generator power is disconnected, the MultiPlus takes over the supply to the connected loads. This happens so quickly (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic devices continue to function normally. The second output is active only when AC is connected to the MultiPlus’s input. This output can be used to connect loads that should not discharge the battery, such as a water heater (second output available on models rated at 3kVA and more).
To increase power output, up to six Multis can operate in parallel. Six 24/3000/70 units, for example, provide 15kW / 18kVA output power and 420 Amps of charging capacity. Three units can be configured for three-phase output in addition to parallel connection. But that’s not all: three strings of six parallel units can be used to build a 45 kW / 54 kVA three-phase inverter and a 1260 A charger.
Victron Energy MultiPlus PMP243021102 Inverter/Chargers also have split-phase options. Two units can be stacked to provide 120-0-120 V, and up to six units per phase can be paralleled to provide up to 30 kW / 36 kVA of split phase power. Alternatively, by connecting our autotransformer, we can obtain a split-phase AC source.
