The Mojave Inverter Charger builds on a long history of reliable off-grid and grid-hybrid performance. The FX Series, FXR Series, and Radian Series platforms from OutBack Power are well-known. It doesn’t end there, though. External system controllers aren’t needed with the Mojave Inverter Charger, and it has an integrated wiring compartment for easier, clutter-free installation. Most grid-tied off-grid solar inverters and 48 VDC solar batteries on the market today can be AC-coupled with the OGHI8048A. It’s a simple way to add the economic and resilience benefits of PV energy storage to existing residential PV systems.

💬 Should I be worried about setting up a shutdown order for Mojave’s inverter charger?

🔎 In general, there is no required shutdown order. It is common to de-energize circuits in the reverse order from which they were energized. An exception is when disconnecting the battery for any reason. Before disconnection, make certain all AC sources are shut down. This includes AC coupling if present. This removes any possible voltage increases on the internal circuitry in the absence of the battery.
