DLS/M-12V-15A/120V: In order to operate DC loads and charge 12V batteries, the DLS 15A Power Converter/Battery Charger from IOTA converts nominal 108–132 AC voltage to 13.4 DC voltage.
The converter/charger design of the IOTA® 120VAC to 12VDC DLS 15 Series offers clean, steady output for effective battery charging and secure operation of your DC equipment. The DLS Series’ compact, robust engineering offers dependable AC/DC performance along with incredibly quiet operation and lower operating temperatures.
As a power supply, the unit’s tightly controlled regulation allows the user to operate a nominal 12VDC load up to 15 amps.
When the battery capacity is sufficiently low, the device functions as a battery charger to maintain the battery and deliver its full rated current. To reduce undue stress on the battery from cell heating, the voltage is set to deliver its maximum current for the required amount of time. The battery can live as long as possible thanks to this. Over time, as the battery gets closer to being fully charged, the DLS-15 will automatically reduce the current, giving the battery a float-charge to stop the cells from being discharged by themselves.
