The Turbo State charges the battery at the charger’s maximum output, reducing the time it takes to charge the battery.
Absorption Increase State provides a constant charge for a set period of time to ensure that the battery is fully charged.
When the battery is fully charged, the Float State maintains a full charge while minimizing “gassing.”
If the battery has been in the Float State for seven days, the IQ will automatically apply an equalization charge to dissolve any sulfate layer on the plates and prevent stratification.

The Bulk State charges the battery at an optimal controlled output, shortening the charging time.
When the battery is fully charged, the charger remains in the Float State, monitoring the battery for voltage drops.
If the battery has been in the Float State for 15 days, the IQ will automatically restart a bulk charge to ensure the battery remains fully charged.

The IQ4’s Bulk Stage allows the batteries to be charged using the charger’s full rated output. This extended charging period reduces the battery’s overall charging time.
Following the Bulk Stage, the IQ4 enters the Absorption Stage. This mode will run for up to 480 minutes (8 hours) to ensure that the battery is fully charged.
The IQ4 lowers the DLS charge voltage during the Float Stage. This lower voltage keeps the battery fully charged while reducing ‘gassing.’ The float stage in the IQ4 prevents battery boiling and bulging caused by prolonged exposure to higher charging voltages.
If the batteries remain in a “float stage” for seven days, the IQ4 will activate the DLS charger’s pre-programmed Maintenance Stage. This extends the life of your battery by dissolving any sulfate layer on its internal plates and prevents stratification, which can occur when a battery is not used for an extended period of time.

The Bulk Stage of the IQ4 allows the batteries to be charged from the full rated output of the charger. This increased charging period reduces the overall charging time of the battery.
After the Bulk Stage, the IQ4 then moves to the Absorption Stage. This mode will continue for up to 480 minutes (8 hours) to ensure that the battery receives a complete charge.
During the Float Stage, the IQ4 reduces the DLS charge voltage. This reduced voltage maintains the full charge while minimizing ‘gassing’ of the battery. The IQ4’s float stage prevents boiling and bulging of the battery caused when the battery is exposed to higher charging voltages for too long.
If the batteries remain in a “float stage” for a seven-day period, the IQ4 will switch the DLS charger into a pre-programmed Maintenance Stage. This protects the life of your battery by dissolving any sulfate layer on the battery’s internal plates and avoids stratification that can occur when a battery has not been in use for extended periods.

The Bulk State charges the battery at the full-rated output of the charger for 2 hours to achieve a full and complete charge.
After the Bulk State completes, the IQ drops to the Float state for an indefinite period of time to prevent-overcharging the battery.
If further equalization is required, remove the IQ-Equalizer and re-insert to re-initialize the Equalization process.

The Bulk State charges the battery at the optimal output, reducing the time it takes to charge the battery, then holds it for a predetermined ‘finishing’ period.
Once the battery has been fully charged, the Float State maintains a full charge to the battery, and reduces the chances of “gassing.”
If the battery has remained in the Float State for 7 days, the IQ automatically reinitiates a bulk charge to ensure the battery remains in a completely charged condition.
